[Review] Ultra Pure Cosmetics

Ultra Pure Cosmetics was established in the year 2005 & stood by it's name, Ultra Pure, meaning it is a skin nurturing cosmetics that does NOT contain petro-chemicals, parabens, bismuth, oxychloride, dyes/ lakes, SLS or other irritating ingredients.

They also do NOT test on animals, which is another great thing. Not only are their products high quality and effective, it is also safe to use because it is free from chemicals, as well as it being environmentally friendly.

Here are some of the products I received :)

1.) Cream to Powder Mineral Concealer (sample size)
it conceals under-eye circles & hyper pigmentation
2.) Omega Brilliance Lip Gloss (Malibu Pink)
it is 100% vegan, omega rich formula, petro-chemical free & paraben free
3.) Chocoberry (sample size)
it is a matte eye shadow that is a very rich dark brown color & has a bit of a black undertone to it.
4.) Eggplant (full size & original packaging)
it is a silky deep purple with a redish- purple iridescent.
5.) White (sample size)
it was supposedly a matte eye shadow but it looked sparkly to me, so i really don't know what to think of that
6.) Tempt (sample size)
it is a silky maroon-ish color with iridescent.

SWATCHES

Overall, I think that the products that were sent to me were really good. I most especially love the lip gloss because as most of you do know, I'm not really a lip gloss kind of girl because I just prefer lip sticks over lip glosses any time, any day. However, this particular lip gloss or maybe it was the color, but I absolutely loved it! It is not sticky in any way like most MAC lip glasses are. Also, the fact that it is 100% vegan and contains no parabens or petro-chemicals just makes me love it even better.

As for the eye shadows, I noticed that everything is so pigmented, you don't have to pack it on your eye shadow brush to make it stand out on your eyes. It can also be applied wet or dry. As these eye shadows are loose pigments, I suggest using a flat synthetic brush rather than a natural fluffy eye shadow brush, to prevent unnecessary fall outs.

As far as the Cream to Powder Mineral concealer goes, the one that I got is a tint of yellow which is for under eye circles and hyper-pigmentation. The consistency is this thick cream based that is easily blendable & definitely won't leave your bags looking yellow. However, I am a bit confused with its name because it says its "Cream to Powder" but i don't see how it changes to powder, because its consistency is 100% creamy. But, I mean I have nothing against it, I'm just a bit confused with its name, that's all.

Anyways, I actually did another makeover using my little sister as a model. However, she fell asleep in the middle of it, so I just took pictures of the finished product, while in a deep trance. LOL!

i used, tempt, eggplant & white
i used the omega brilliance lip gloss in malibu pink

Meet the Fashion Industry Insiders + Styling Workshop = Double the trouble

So most of you who follow me on Twitter or added me on my Official Fan Page probably know that last week I went to a back to back fashion & styling event that my school's fashion program hosted. So, last Thursday was the Meet the Fashion Industry Insiders event from 5-7:30pm & five renowned fashionistas from all over the US showed up to speak to the fashion students and talk about how they began their journey and how they got where they are now.

Anyways, the first person & probably my most favorite is the Guru of Fashion, Michael Palladino. He has worked in the fashion industry (particularly, in retail) for almost 18 years. He has worked with clients such as  Queen Noor of Jordan, Rudy Giuliani, Paula Abdul, Paris Hilton and many more. Anyways, after the event, they had a more intimate Q&A & I was fortunate enough to had been able to speak with him one on one. He is one of the most sincere people you'll ever get to meet or talk to. Like when I spoke to him, I just felt really comfortable & not intimidated in any way. He made you feel like he has known you for quite some time already & gives you amazing & honest advice, which was really helpful :D

The second person that was there is celebrity and TV fashion stylist, Jeni Paollela. She has about 7 years of experience and has styled celebrities such as Carrie Underwood, Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Marissa Jaret Winokur & even the cast of the infamous reality show, Jersey Shore. (She said, she only styles them not on the show but when they attend special events)

She is also a FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) graduate in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing & Design. She has also worked with Michael Palladino at the legendary boutique, Henri Bendel.

Another person that was there is Uduak Oduok. She is a 6ft 2in, Nigerian model, journalist/ publicist & a lawyer! Insane right? She told us that she was an overachiever & that she had graduated high school at 15, college in 19 & finished graduate school at 23. Insane right? I mean, I'm turning 23 in a couple of weeks & I still haven't even finished college -_-"? Hahaha! Anyways, she is a very intelligent & inspiring woman.

The next person is Billy Hutchinson. He is currently the assistant manager at Gump's in San Francisco & he is just one of the sweetest & petite guys you'll ever meet. He is really cool! He does a lot of amazing art, especially with his breath taking calligraphy, that is worth a whole lot of money (OMG!) as well as his amazing gift wrapping techniques which was featured in Wanda Wen's book, The Art of Gift Wrapping.

Also, he went to my school for our fashion program! ^_^ A proud Mustang!

The last person is Renata Barberie Campion. She is also a FIT graduate, as well as a runway model in Milan & Paris. She has also worked at Levi Strauss for 10 years. Anyways, she recently started her own company which was named Trooyu, LLC. A company created to bring together exceptionally hand-made leather boots and artisanal premium knits.

Anyways, the day after this event was the Styling Workshop. I was asked a few days before the event to be one of the MUA (makeup artist) at the event, so I said, "why not!" But yeah, it was really amazing, although a bit intimidating because most of the MUA's were professionally trained while me and this other girl were just freelance MUA's. But yeah, aside from that...it was a really cool experience and it just empowered and inspired me to excel & do better on this craft.

But yeah, here are the pictures! ENJOY!

[Review] Geo Angel Brown/ Green Lenses

sponsored by: Asian Fashion City

Comfort: ♥♥♥♥♥
Geo lenses are probably my favorite brand for circle lenses because it is super comfortable. I own many pairs of lenses from Geo to EOS, etc... but I noticed that most of my Geo lenses are usually my go-to lenses for everyday long wear. The Angel Green & Angel Brown are probably one of those go-to favorites. Plus, it doesn't dry up my eyes (& you all know how I'm uber picky with my lenses because my eyes are very sensitive)

Color: ♥♥♥♥♥
I love love the color! It's not too light or too dark, it's simply just perfect. I love how it complements with my eye color.

Design: ♥♥♥♥♥
The design is very simple, with a dark outer rim. I absolutely love it! Although, I must say, if you want more of a natural look, I feel like Geo Angel's might not be the best choice as they do have that dark rim that is quite noticeable. Hence, taking away that natural look & enhancing that dolly eyed look.

Enlargement: ♥♥♥♥
As far as enlargement  goes, these Geo Angel's are only 14mm so it won't entirely make your eyes look like anime eyes, but the dark rim does help make your eyes more awake & much more brighter. I especially love these lenses for that because I find that 14mm lenses are much more comfortable to wear than bigger ones.

Overall: ♥♥♥♥♥
Overall, I have nothing bad to say about these lenses and it's kind of funny because I usually have something bad to say. I mean, I've been wearing & testing these lenses out for about a couple of months now & I've even worn them (accidentally) to go nap for about 1 hr <-- *not suggesting you do the same to test something out* But these lenses were SUPER! I can even wear them for about 10 hrs without drying my eyes. I love love love Geo Angel's!

Anyways, here are a couple of pictures of me wearing these lenses
