FASHION FOCUS: TOUCH OF STRIPE
In today's outfit, it consists of this beautiful wine wrap dress paired with a simple but chic stripe blazer. In my honest opinion, everyone should have their very own pair of stripe blazer, or any type of printed blazer for that matter. It not only completes your look but it adds more depth to your entire ensemble.
This season, don't be afraid to wear your colors and prints out as often as you would like because "trends" are just merely a fashion guide, it's not meant to be followed entirely. As cliche as it sounds, some fashion rules are just meant to be broken. You don't have to settle for  dull and boring colors this season just because it's cold. Mix your prints, add a splash of color to your outfit and over accessorize if you want to. Trends for the season might dictate the fashion world, but only yourself could dictate your own personal style ;)

Today's weather was probably the biggest sign that the autumn season has begun...finally! It was around low 50's today and it was not only gloomy but also rainy. I mean, don't get me wrong, I do love and enjoy the rain, just as long as I'm indoors and I'm not the one getting soaked. However, in today's case, it was the exact opposite because I was not only outdoors, but I was getting wet as well =/ However, with that aside, today's outfit is incredibly comfy, grungy and colorful.
I've been loving mixing and matching colors for a long time now since I'm not a black and white type of girl. So, in this ensemble, I decided to pair my gargantuan of a cardigan with my neon green beanie. Knits on knits are perfect for this cold weather!!! I'm also wearing my favorite studded shorts but of course, I'm wearing knit tights to give me that extra warmth.
Overall, I must say, this has to be one of my favorite outfits. ---I don't know why but lately I've been into beanies, maybe because it matches with the style of my hair or what? But yeah, I digress! Today's look, is not only super warm but you can say it's also pretty on point with last seasons trends. LMAO!

Dress Styles for Winter 2012/2013

Top Dress Styles for Winter 2012/2013
Another new season is upon us and it’s time to start putting all the dainty and barely-there summer frocks, skirts and sandals to the back of the wardrobe and replace them with a sturdier stock of winter clobber.
The arrival of a new season, for some, is an excuse to hit the shops and update an out of style wardrobe. Dresses, naturally, are an important part of any season style and none more so than the party-filled festive season.
If you’re looking to update last year’s dresses with this year’s then you may want to take a look at the top dress style of winter 2012/2013.

Bring on the Belt
The winter 2012/2013 season is all about belts and no fashion item lends itself quite as neatly to the buckled look better than a dress. Demure winter dresses that hug the figure dramatically and, with a thick pair of tights clearly visible, create a sophisticated and chic winter look, can be glamorized considerably by the addition of a belt.
This season’s belts are all about enhancing close-fitting, structured, sophisticated and edgier designs and will make a fantastic feature for all those forthcoming parties.

Black and Blue Dresses
We cannot deny that classic black dresses never fail to make their way onto the high street in one guise or another during the winter season. Although this season’s classic black dress has taken on a novel twist with the addition of navy blue detailing. From black and blue stripes to predominantly black with dramatic fusions of blue running through, the season’s must have classic party dress is a fusion of two of the most wearable colours in the fashion world. Hooray!

Leopard Skin
There is nothing quite as eye-catching as when a lady walks through a bar dressed in a leopard skin dress. Leopard skin, in all its forms, is back with a vengeance this season, and if you want to make a dramatic statement this winter then be sure to make a leopard skin dress part of your wardrobe.
Longer length leopard skin dresses are particularly fashionable this season and are being accompanied with a pair of sturdy knee-high boots – the ultimate fashion statement for the coming winter months.

Winter Whites
If a black and blue striped dress doesn’t take your fancy, then you may be more inclined to adopt the more virginal and floating white winter look.
This year’s winter whites are moving away from neutral and safe fashion and are becoming larger than life as designers are mixing pure and pristine white winter dresses with soft creams and bold colours to make a striking fashion statement.

FASHION FOCUS: HIGH WAIST LEGGINGS
High waist bottoms basically lifts, tones and makes your legs incredibly elongated, which is why I love it! However, the only flaw you'll get from wearing high waist leggings is that it might showcase unnecessary bumps and lumps that you are trying to conceal. On a much lighter note, high waist bottoms will not only elongate your legs but will also make your bum look firmer. HA! now, isn't that all we really want ladies?
Anyway, in today's look, I am rocking these awesome high waist disco leggings along with a floral print chiffon button up top with a pair of Lady Gaga-esque heel less platforms. Now, this looks is definitely an understatement, even Lady Gaga herself might take a second look.

I don't know if you noticed on my last post, but I was actually complaining about the over 90 degree weather here in California and I guess mother nature heard my constant complaint and gave us Californians the rightful weather for this month. And, boy am I soooooo ecstatic about it!
Today, I was able to wear this super adorable dress that I got from lajupettefashion.com it's a great dress to wear for a girls night out or something but I wasn't going to have any of those for a while since I am crazy busy so I decided to just dress this dress down by pairing it with some combat boots and a furry vest and blazer. It's actually a pretty awesome fall transitional look since it's not entirely all that cold yet.

Also, here's a holiday event window that me and my Visual Merchandising team worked on. What do you guys think? We used paper ornaments and mounted them on foam boards to create dimension.

(Got these adorable sandals for such a great deal! it was only less that $20 at Sammy Dress & come to think of it, the quality is pretty good as well, which makes me a very happy camper!!!)

In today's look, I just decided to wear this pretty awesome reclaimed floral silk dress along with a knit cardi & sandals. It's crazy because usually around this time (early October) it gets a little chilly and starts to to pour a bit already, but none of that has happened thus far. This global warming or whatever it is that's going on with the climate changes, or rather lack of change is seriously messing with my transitional to fall fashion lol! Needless to say, California is still stuck on that "spring wardrobe" weather. Although, I'm very much looking forward to fall already, there's really nothing we can do to dictate mother nature to maybe fast forward the season already.
